Preparing for an expedition to Antarctica requires both theoretical and practical knowledge. Therefore, all participants undergo a mandatory field course.

On September 20 to 23, 2022, all DML 2022/23 expedition participants gathered at Abisko Scientific Research Station to learn about risk analysis and safety, medical care, first aid, firefighting, navigation, rope training and other things.
